Volunteer

For over 60 years, the Dunn Loring Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department has relied on volunteers to manage, maintain and carry out the mission of the department. We are currently seeking individuals interested in volunteering their time as administrative, auxiliary or operational members.

To be considered for membership, you must be at least 18 years of age, posses a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a background investigation, and reside in the local area.

Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Dunn Loring Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is an integral part to the successfulness of this organization. Accepting both men and women as members, the AuxiliaryÆs mission is twofold: to provide frontline canteen service to the emergency service personnel of Fairfax County, and to support the department in fund raising, community outreach and administrative support. As in any organization, running a fire department requires a significant amount of administrative talent. In fact, more than half of the work of the department is administrative in nature. As a non-profit corporation we need individuals to fill a variety of roles from basic secretarial duties to senior leadership. More Information
